50 years of harvesting technology Hermann Paintner – 10 years of ROPA potato technology
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Hermann Paintner’s first self-propelled sugar beet harvester, the traditional ROPA house demonstration will take place again this year on Sunday, 6th November in Sittelsfdorf. Visitors can expect an extensive programme of demonstrations in the potato and sugar beet harvest, agricultural machinery exhibition and festival hall operation with children’s programme. The first sugar beet harvester from 1972, piloted by Hermann Paintner, will also be on display.

ROPA is now regarded as the premium manufacturer in the field of pulled potato harvesters. The main reasons for this are technical features such as the fully hydraulic drive in conjunction with durable and maintenance-friendly mechanical engineering features.
The demonstration of the pulled and double-row potato harvesters takes place on a potato field 8km away by farmer Thomas Bauer near the Niederleierndorf outdoor swimming pool. The freshly cleared potatoes are loaded onto trucks with the potato mouse. Among others, representatives of the company are on site.

Sugar beet harvest with Panther 2S, Tiger 6S and sugar beet loading with Maus 6 directly at the factory
From 10 am, various self-propelled vehicles, including the world’s most powerful sugar beet harvesters Tiger 6S and Panther 2S, will be clearing two fields around the ROPA plant in Sittelsdorf. These are loaded directly after harvesting with the new ROPA Maus 6 and shredded and ensiled at the pilot and experimental biogas plant.
Technical presentation and innovation show at 13:30 on the beet field – Showroden
From 1:30pm ROPA will present the complete product range. After a few words from the management on the current company development and new measures, Michael Gruber and Dr. Rupert Geischeder present the technical highlights and latest innovations in the field of sugar beet and potato technology. Spectacular pictures and videos during the subsequent show-clearing of the complete fleet of sugar beet technology are guaranteed.
Comprehensive supporting programme with agricultural machinery exhibition and festival hall operation
An interesting supporting programme is offered by the extensive agricultural machinery exhibition. Numerous companies present their products, including tractors, harvesting technology, potato storage technology from Bjilsma hercules, grassland technology, forestry technology, manure technology, telehandlers, information stands of seed breeding companies, biogas suppliers, service providers and much more.
In addition to the demonstration, the cozy get-together at ROPA is very important. In the heated production halls of the new assembly center with a generous catering area, visitors will find time to exchange ideas with each other. For the physical well-being is well taken care of with hearty delicacies, ox from the grill as well as coffee and cake by the country women. A colourful children’s programme with numerous attractions as well as a slide and pedal tractor course provide entertainment for the young farmers.
